The democraps claim the economy is failing..yet Las Vegas had a net profit of about 80 billion dollars.
The mirage alone had a billion dollar net profit….if the people are so poor…..why are the people flocking to throw money away.

I wanted to get a credit report. After I filled out my info I noticed that I was going to be charged. So I hit home on my internet and didn’t finish the application. I did NOT agree to any charges or even get a credit report. Today we noticed our account was not adding up. Sure enough they charged like .99 without permission. I searched the web and found that this happens all the time. How the FFFF…. do I get my MONEY back? Where would I complain? I live in the USA Las Vegas NV and I’m PISSED……..!!!! A group of friends will be going to Las Vegas at the end of January. We will be staying at a condo that was just bought by one of them. One of our male friends will not have to worry about money for anything except gambling and we really won’t be going just to do that. We just want to party and enjoy other things that vegas has to offer.He is scared to get on a plane because he knows if it goes down, that he will be dead. I already told him that i was going to get him drunk but now i am seriously considering the fact that if something happens to him that it will be my fault and i will have his family to deal with. What do you think I should do?

Born in raised in Las Vegas, NV for 25 years. I have always gone back and forth to S. Cal since the age of 3, now I’m thinking about moving there. It is too hot here, too dry, nothing fun to do except gamble and lose money. I love LBC but the economy is messed up right now and Cali is expensive from what I’ve heard. Would anyone recommend moving to cali? I ask because there are tons of people from Cali moving here and I can’t understand why???
Note: my second home, when I come for the summer is Baldwin Park-ca so I know alot abt california just afraid to make such a big move.

if i took out a home loan for 400000 but i only needed 100000,can i use the rest to go gamble in las vegas and get hammered,or will the loan office want to see documents of the exact cost of the house.also,can i get a home loan and just use the money to rent a condo,im trying to get a large bankroll to be a gambler

President Causes Controversy With Vegas Comments

President Obama may have gotten himself in hot water with local officials…again. According to thehill.com, at a town hall meeting in Nashua, New Hampshire today, the President said, "When times are tough, you tighten your belts. You don’t go buying a boat when you can barely pay your mortgage. You don’t blow a bunch of cash in Vegas when you’re trying to save for college."

The comments prompted a strong response from Senator Harry Reid, who said "the President needs to lay off Las Vegas and stop making it the poster child for where people shouldn’t be spending their money." http://www.kxnt.com/

His first shot a year ago trashed the economy, and now he’s at it again… Telling US how to spend OUR money….

Is this another amateur screwup by the bloviator in chief? Or does he just hate Las Vegas?
FACT – I live in Vegas, and his FIRST comment trashed the economy BEFORE the sh\t hit the fan nationally… Now 15+% unemployment…. MULTIPLE conventions were RELOCATED to other venues… cost the city MILLIONS in revenue…. ARGUMENT FAIL!
And NOW he’s at it again… he is either ignorant, arrogant, spiteful or all of these…

I know this may be a silly/stupid question? but I am a baker/pastry cook and is seriously considering moving to Vegas for career reasons, I know with the majority of jobs being in the service industry that chances are I may find a job in my field, my question is with me moving for more money and growth (I understand that Las Vegas has a fairly high cost of living) is it really worth it. And if it helps, Im 24, single, no kids and have really bad credit ( I’m scared of being approved for an apartment or condo when I do decide to move) PLEASE HELP!!!!! Thanks in advance ~mami

A year ago we moved to GA from Las Vegas. Had trouble selling the Vegas home, so we kept it as a rental. We’ve now come to the end of our fixed term on that morgage. Our morgage company is not willing to refinance because it is a rental. We are not making any money off of this home, and are desperate to either refinance or get out.

Im currently a born and legal Canadian Resident living in Canada. I am interested in going to school in Las Vegas, NV for gaming management at UNLV. I would be interested after this degree of seeking employment at MGM-Mirage or Harrahs etc in the hopes of applying my degree there. What might my options be for Visa’s to come to the US? Also are there any visa’s that allow me to come, yet allow me to work a job to help pay for my living expenses?

I would want to live there simply for the opportunity. Frankly, the gun crime, overall crime, lack of free health care and other things are a bother, but i feel this is a good option for me. Canada has its issues too.
Not G- Last i saw we were allowed to head to the US for education and whatever we like. Its called NAFTA, and its there for a reason. Perhaps you dislike immigrants or something i dont know…but this course is only offered in Nevada, im sorry you dislike us Canadians apparently "stealing places in your country".
i do have the money for schooling, i just didnt want to use all my principle sum in order to pay for it. Id rather much contribute my own so im not left with a small amount upon completion.

My husband and I are considering moving to Las Vegas in the summer this year. But, in researching the housing, I came across some houses in Pahrump. And you definitely get more for your money. But, we also want to know other things about Pahrump. For instance, how is the economy there. Can you get good jobs? My husband is a licensed general contractor here where we live and has over 25+ years experience. I am a licensed Cosmetologist/Instructor and have 12+ years in that industry plus over 25+ years in customer service/office management as well. What are our chances of getting good paying jobs in Pahrump? Currently we aren’t even making K between us. Could we make more money? Is there a strong economy? Also, we are moving because of the cold weather we have here, we want to live where it’s sunny most of time and warm. And we want to get away from the religious undertones that we have here in relation to our work. It’s who you know everywhere. But, here it’s also where you worship.
This problem has effected raises, promotions and just the fact of aquiring employment in the first place.
Also, the pollution is terrible. It’s one of the worst areas in the nation for pollution. And we want to get to a cleaner enviornment.
Anyone who has lived in Pahrump or are currently living there, please give us an overall view.
Good or bad, we want to have to truth. No sugar coating, just facts.
