Ok, so i just moved from an apartment to a home and apparently the people who come to pick up my trash said they haven Been doing it because i don’t have the right garbage can. i live in las vegas nv but i cant find where to buy them! please help!

I was wondering if a young 18 year old boy/man could afford himself moving from Las Vegas? Like moving from Las Vegas,NV to any city in the Southern California area, alone. He plans to live in a small sized apartment or condo and have a career in Computer Engineering. Maybe going to college. Is this possible or a dream.

I currently live in Las Vegas and pay ,300 a month for a 3 bedroom house in an upscale section of town (that’s not including utilities, etc.). For about the same price, what type of housing (whether it be house, apartment, condo) can I expect to find? I don’t need 3 bedrooms, so I would be more than willing to live in a 1-2 bedroom if it was a nicer area for the same price. Any suggestions or thoughts?

Ok. I found out im pregnant, not to long ago.(Which Im not upset about, I feel its a blessing, women would give anything to bring life into the world).

but the problem is.
I live in Las Vegas, NV…for college…My Whole family stays in Missouri. I still plan on going to college(under grad student), this will be a little different now, because I have to get an apartment verses living on campus. I cant stop going to school, b/c 1) I have a scholarship, 2) I want to be a doctor..Anesthesiologist to be exact, and moving back home will force me to start school in January. or Late August if I make the deadline…but again, I have a scholarship to go here. I would have to take out loans to pay for school.

I KNOW I need to tell my mom, and mother-in-law that im pregnant…I KNOW that I need help b.c I have no clue what to do as far as a pregnancy..(this being my first).
If I tell them, I KNOW that they will make me stay in Missouri, and not want me to return to Vegas,which I understand, b.c all my family is Missouri…

So you do think it is best that I just want until I get my own place, then tell them..so they know that im handling this very mature or responsibility..or do I tell them now?

ill get hell from them about moving.and trying to do things on my own…and this is baby #1 for me…so I know they both will insist that I move back..

I know this may be a silly/stupid question? but I am a baker/pastry cook and is seriously considering moving to Vegas for career reasons, I know with the majority of jobs being in the service industry that chances are I may find a job in my field, my question is with me moving for more money and growth (I understand that Las Vegas has a fairly high cost of living) is it really worth it. And if it helps, Im 24, single, no kids and have really bad credit ( I’m scared of being approved for an apartment or condo when I do decide to move) PLEASE HELP!!!!! Thanks in advance ~mami

I am starting a business in Life Coaching. My business primarily takes place on the phone, internet or OTHER peoples homes. I live in an apartment that I rent is it legal to run a business out of it? I live in Las Vegas NV Clark County. I was told to get a PMB box, is this acceptable when filing for a business?? Thanks

I have been married for 10 years. During this time my marriage has been tumultuous at best. At the beginning of our marriage I was very possessive – and I didn’t want to share my husband – with anyone. I’ll admit – it was really a possession issue and insecurity on my part. There were also other issues going on…but I’ll omit some of the details.

My husband doesn’t work steady – it’s been at least 3 years since he had steady employment. I have been working full time, sometimes two jobs in order to make ends meet.

About 4 years into our marriage he decided he hated where we lived, nothing was going right, we had to move. Prior to this we had been on the verge of being kicked out of every apartment we lived in because he couldn’t control his temper. Never had an eviction – he also found a loophole but still looks really bad.

We moved to Las Vegas. Sold everything and uprooted our lives; I gave up a great job to move. Vegas was a nightmare!
The apartment we lived in was in a crime ridden area, we didn’t have steady work – we both worked daily temporary for a day. We were homeless for 3 days, my car was repossessed and I lost both my cats.

I was finally able to get a good job – but he wasn’t happy living in Vegas. He pushed and pushed until I was able to transfer.

We moved to a state in the midwest – close to "home" but he wasn’t happy there either. Once again he wasn’t satisfied with how anything was going. My job wasn’t good enough for him, he hated where he was living…etc.

I ended up kicking him out – but we reconciled and he came back.

I ended up getting a job in our "home" state – and he told me things would be different. He would start working…and things would be better.

Well they weren’t. He was verbally abusive, addicted to marijuana, physically abusive at times – and not working on top of all this!
We were again in the same situation – he hated every place we lived, he didn’t like anything.

After about a year and a half of being "home" he had a heart attack. He’s a younger man and physically active so this was devastating. For me it was even harder because it was another excuse not to work.

In February of this year I was given the opportunity to move to another city and start a great job.

I left him – health problems and all – I left everything and moved.

He found me, begged me, advised he had no place to go and is now staying with me again.

He isn’t happy where we are at once again. Thinks the place is too small, he doesn’t know the city – I could go on and on.

He tells me I’m being selfish because I won’t consider his feelings.

I tell him he’s being selfish because this is something I want – and I want to pursue my career goals.

He’s pushing me really hard to move – any advice on how to deal with this?

He’s really depressed; but I’m to drop all!

I will be 24 in a month. He is 23. We have been dating for about a year. Recently we took a trip to Vegas for about a week to see what I thought about it. He has family that lives there, and told me before we started dating that he would want to move there in the future. I have lived in IL my entire life and all my family lives here or in Indiana.

I loved it in Vegas it’s so warm there compared to IL. I just don’t know if we broke up if I could live on my own there. He has a car that I can drive so that wouldn’t be a problem. If I moved there I plan to keep my car here insured for at least a year in case something happened. My car is old and wouldn’t be worth driving to Nevada.

He plans on moving sometime mid June- early July. I would not move until early August. I am taking a summer class. I finished school with my associates in graphic design but have been unable to find a job. I am looking into a different field. Maybe medical coding? My parents will not help me with school anymore so I have to pay for it myself. If I move to Nevada I would either have to get a full-time job (just prove it with a pay stub I can quickly quit the job after I prove this) or pay out of district rates for a year. That’s how residency works for school since so many people move out. I’m taking this course to see if that’s what I want to go to school for. So I will not be going to school until Spring 2010 whether I move or not. So if I do move I have 5 months to find a full time job.

He said that if I decide to move he would take an airplane to come get me. When he moves he will be living in an apartment with his mom for 6 months. After that he plans on buying a 2 bedroom condo in Vegas. I know that if I do move I will be paying for rent. I pay my mom for rent now.

My family does not think moving is a good idea, but said that it’s my decision and if something did happen they would help me come back here if I needed cash. After going on that trip I hate IL. I see how cheap it is to live somewhere else, nicer weather and better people. Taxes here are crazy high for what reason? I don’t think I’d be able to even afford to live on my own here.

We have not lived together yet. He lives with his sister right now. They are going on vacation for a week so I plan on living with him during that time they are gone. My job is nothing special. I work at a fast food restaurant. It’s not that far from my house, 5 minutes, his house 20. My bills are only 200-300 a month.

I don’t think we are ready to be engaged yet. We haven’t even lived together. Engagement or marriage I would have the same chance of us breaking up if I moved.

We were familiar with the Las Vegas area a few years ago. But, we know things change. We will be moving to Las Vegas very soon & need to know which areas are best for condos & apartment living. Which areas are safest? Whish areas are the most convenient to the Medical Center, shopping, etc.? Also, which areas shoud we avoid?

I am thinking about moving to Las Vegas with my boyfriend. I am 24, he is 23. We have been dating for a year.

He lived in Vegas for 4 years for his high school and said that jobs are better there in terms of how much you make by the hour and there is no state taxes. I live in IL, making about 9.00 an hour at a fast food place. I have my associates in graphic design since Jan 08, but have been unable to find a job in the field, especially now with the economy.

I am taking a medical terminology in the summer in hopes of possibly becoming a medical coder. However, I will most likely have to take one class at a time due to cost and my parents will not help pay for it.

I’m not sure if I will qualify for financial aid or not exactly sure how student loans work. If I move to Vegas I will have to either find a full time job or wait a year for residency to get in district rates.

My boyfriend works at a dealership right now as a lube tech. He has over 2 years of experience. Strange thing is that the dealership refuses to give him a raise and he was making more as a porter in vegas!

My family (especially my mom) thinks that the the jobs there aren’t any better in Vegas then they are here. I live in the suburbs of Chicago. Worth, IL if you’ve heard of it. I have never lived on my own, I still live with my mom. My boyfriend said that if he could afford to live here then he would get an apartment with me. But he has no intention of staying here (I knew he wanted to move back to Vegas sometime b4 we got serious).

He plans on getting a 2 bedroom condo once he gets settled down. He’s going to live with his mom for at least 6 months (he has to because otherwise he can’t get a loan). Then I would move in with him. He’s moving mid June and if I moved mid August otherwise I"d have to wait a year and a half for residency for school.

If I moved and things didn’t work out I can always move back in with my mom. However, how’s she’s taking it’s going to be the end of my life if I decide to move with him. Is this how moms are? LOL.

I have no family there so that’s why I’m asking how the job market really is. We went on a trip for about a week there for me to see what it would be like. I really liked it there but am unsure if we broke up if I would want to continue living there.
