My boyfriend was falsely accused of harrasment in the workplace?
Ok so he is a manager at a grocery store. LONG story short He caught an employee stealing over the camera and even has the video of her STEALING!!!!! Well he pulls her aside and fires her I’m sure he was a little heated but he kept his cool well a week later this thiefs lawyer calls the store and the union saying they are suing for wrongful termination, and racial remarks and harrasment. Even though they have the video of her stealing they take her back?!!!! wtf so I guess she filed a complaint about him to the head of HR and basically pull my boyfriend in to the office question him and basically believe her(the thief) and now their is a pending investigation and he is suspended without pay until further notice. He has been in the grocery business for 7 years and he gets paid VERY well and has NEVER had a complaint filed against him.
What I want to know is… Is there any way to fight this. I live in Las Vegas, Nv. I am so pissed that she is lying and putting my honest hardworking boyfriend out of a job in this economy why would they keep a thief on staff let alone believe her ignorant lies! oh man am I upset. I want to file a lawsuit against this if possible….I don’t know much about harrassment laws any help or advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
He should be clear then because he didn’t do anything wrong. And its BS that they suspend him without pay its like they believe this girl and they already transferred her until the investigation is over so looks like they are catering to this Fucking thief more than they are my bf

The company is covering their butt by suspending him until the investigation is complete, and by rehiring her. But that is the point you seem to be missing: this is an INVESTIGATION. If your bf is clear, the investigation will clear him, and have her firing reinstated.
Problem solved.

What you need to do is get him a lawyer that specializes in harassment DEFENSE, and the lawyer will be able to see what kind of cards the other side is holding.
When the case is dismissed, you then countersue for damages, false reporting, and all sorts of other stuff.
