Unless it is in your agreement to Drive for him, he is not responsible for getting you home. If the Truck Breaks down and it is in the shop where you cannot sleep in it, He is Responsible for paying for your Motel Bill only.
If it was the lead Driver who put in Straight Water resulting in cracking the Block, you need to be able to prove it. Even if you are driving down the Road with the Motor Running, if the outside Temperature is Below 0, you can freeze up the System, but the Motor will then OverHeat. To Crack the Block, it would have to be subzero temperature with Straight water and Shut Off overnight.

Most Companies will put you up in a Motel/Hotel but will not get you a ride home.
If you have a good Class A CDL then get one of a hundred other driving jobs with
a reputable outfit that cares about their drivers.
