Collapsing home values leaves every child behind..is anyone in the White House talking about this?
Collapsing home values leave every child behind—a vicious circle, hurting everyone. Is anyone in the White House talking about this?
But rather an opportunity for politically ambitious progressives, when you think about it—not least those ambitious Democrats who happen to be running for president
By ">this spring, one homeowner for every 775 lost their home to foreclosure. In Colorado it was one per 292 households. California’s numbers had tripled from the previous year, accounting for 21 percent of the national total. "New City of Aspiration" Las Vegas is at one per 139 households.

All I can say is I have not seen such extreme ignorance for any question I have asked before…these people cannot even tune into CNN to find out what is going on let alone read the article and actually answer the question given.
hey TD..you are a fool and maybe if you had the balls to prove your wisdom, should it exist…respond…12 year olds could answer the question as you did…no, a 12 year old would have an open mind and a better chance at knowing what is happening to their country…oh my email is there if you find something worth saying.

It’s not their problem, and they didn’t cause it. Read "Basic Economics" by Thomas Sowell.

Shouldn’t have given loans to liberals that cant afford homes. Here in California prices have actually gone up in Orange county. The lower income areas are getting hit

When people spend more money than they make that will happen.

My house has gone up in value. Sometimes people loose their houses for sad reasons, loss of jobs, etc. The majority have overextended themselves and can’t make those big payments anymore. Why is it a Government Problem. People buy housed cars, have 10 credit cards and file bankruptcy. That is not the Governments problems. It is the person spending above his means.

And the progressive solution is to raise taxes, one of the biggest useless costs a family can endure. Let’s take all the profit out of the private sector business and give it to the poor. That will really help create a bunch of new jobs, won’t it? Then, with all those new governments jobs, the government can tax them so that government housing can be built for all the new unemployed homeless people.
Socialism just doesn’t work. It’s a matter of common sense.
If you can’t afford the house, don’t lock yourself into a loan you cannot repay.

If anything, the prices of single-family homes remain outrageously high in many areas. People are locked into mortgages that they’ll be paying into until it’s time to sell a reverse-mortgage to fund thier retirements. It’s absurd.

Only young, uneducated, sky is falling libsheep will swallow this. After you get some experience on this planet as an adult you will realize that housing prices rise and fall in cycles independent of world events or presidents. We had major crashs in prior years as well as booms, but real estate as a whole is still more valuable than it was just 5 years ago.

This is what people get for buying homes with little or no money down, getting these crazy type of mortgages…..like interest only, A.R.M. loans and the like.
Why should it be of any concern to the White House? Let me guess, you think the Govt, (ie taxpayers) should bail out all the people that are facing foreclosure?

Yes, that $750,000 house is only worth $725,000 now.
Sad. Huh?
