First time in Vegas..advice on picking from these hotels?

I’m going to Vegas for 4 nights in April & have no idea which hotel to pick. I want something in a good location where its easy to walk & get around to attractions. My fiance are buying a house so we’re on a low budget, but we want a decent room that isn’t tiny & has some kind a view. We’re not too picky, but we plan on getting married while we’re there so its kind of a big deal to me. We will do a little gambling but only on slots & low-bid tables, and want cheap restaurants. I kind of want a suite. I’m wondering if the Rio will be ok since its so cheap, or is it too inconvenient because its not on the strip. Is the Venetian a good deal? Or should I splurge & stay at the Signature? Any help would be appreciated.

Why did Kirk Hinrich put his house up for sale?

Is it because..

A. He wants to get a smaller/cheaper place due to the economy

B. The Bulls let him know that they are in the process of trying to trade him.

C. He lost EVERY dime he had in Vegas and if he doesn’t come up with 100K by August 14th the mob is gonna break his legs, and he can’t afford to wait for his next paycheck.

Short Sale will close, correct?

Ok started the short sale procedure a long time back on a home. I figured that i would use it as an "insurance policy" in the sense if nothing else panned out the short sale possibly would.

It has been a long while and after 14 rejected offers on other homes it appears the short sale may close.

seller accepted my offer
Negotiator was assigned
bank accepted the offer
investors accepted the loss

being that the main holder is CitiMortgage, now they sent it to the final stage, apparently, the mortgage insurance group. To my knowledge the it has been there since 8 Business days ago.

My question is: Is this normal both my agent and the listing agent say that this is new to them as they have not delt with Citi before in a short sale.

Needless to say after all the rejected offers i am anxious and I am just trusting what they say as there is very little i can change.

I have money to buy short sales foreclosures REO’s. Do you have any in Las Vegas?

In Las Vegas, can my new home builder lower the base price of my model home during the same phase release?

Shortly after I purchased my home, the builder I purchased it from dropped the base purchase price of their standing inventory of the same phase release by over 0,000. Is there anything I can legally do? They overnight devalued my home and the 15 other home owners in the subdivision by 28.5%. I know they can alter their pricing during the next phase release but they can they change it while they are still selling the same phase I bought into? The price drop occured three months after the closing of my home. The builder’s sales rep has now stated they are not planning on building anymore homes in the community until at least 2009, but are selling the remaining standing inventory from phase 1 and 2 for the lower base price plus whatever they’re charging for the options.

so my friends and perfect strangers tell me im the ‘total package’
but, but the two guys Ive been dating over the last 6 months (no not at the same time as all. one if local and one is mid distance away)
are both giving me super red flags, no RED BEACONS that are warning signs that theyre so not into me anymore.

we had an amazing time first 3 months but thne his ex wife started taking up his time because she was jealous of me.

he just settled with his ex wife on the sale of their house earlier this week.
he has been super busy with work travel, moving, running two businesses.
he had a minor accident last month, then a car accident and then his best friend’s dad died.
he has his son 50% of the time so that makes it hard to see him a lot
so one of our dates was canceled
but now I just found out that this weekend he is flying 2500 miles away to Las Vegas
and this is his fb status update: Settlement on sale of the house was monday.. nightmare finally behind me. leaving for Vegas.
want a lot of r&r… turning my phone off and leaving my MAC laptop back home.

Real estate investing in Las Vegas…?

I’ve been been told that Las Vegas is the fastest growing city in the country, so it’s a great place to invest in real estate. However, I see a lot of vacant homes in Vegas, and lots of lots of new tracts of homes being built with few if any buyers, signaling that the area is getting overbuilt. I’m also seeing that Vegas has very low wages, and that the economy is heavily dependent on entertainment and tourism, which will undoubtedly diminish with the coming recession–could someone convince me that Las Vegas is a good bet for real estate investment?

My husband gambled away our house fund in Vegas! What do I do?

We just got married in June, and we are saving everything that we can so that we can move out of our crappy apartment and into a starter home. We even already told all of our family that we are going to do a small Christmas this year, and also agreed not to even buy for eachother. Then he took a work trip for a sales convention to Vegas. He was only there Monday-today and he gambled away 0! It may not seem like much to you, but to us newlyweds that is a fortune!

I am just so hurt that he doesnt seem to care about our home and the goals that we set for ourselves, or about me! He gets home late tonight. How do I approach this? I am SO angry…

60 yr old female buying an approximately <,000 single, detached home. No mortgage. I will have approximately <0,000 left (with very conservative interest). My only income is Social Security Disability. When I move, do I have to worry about the taxes on my home doubling, or tripling, over the next 10 years? Can I afford to live very modestly? I don’t go out to dinner or buy make-up, clothes, etc. My hobbies are "beginners" home repairs/refinishing. I own a recent-model car and live in an apt, although I have owned 2 homes in the past.
